Keema Naan Recipe

Keema naan is a delicious and satisfying bread that is filled with spicy ground lamb and aromatic spices. This traditional Pakistani dish is enjoyed by people all over the world and is perfect for any occasion.

Keema Naan Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 pound ground lamb
1 small onion, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
Salt, to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  2. Add the yogurt, water, and oil to the bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a large pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the ground lamb, onion, ginger, and garlic to the pan and cook until the lamb is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add the cumin, coriander, garam masala, red chili flakes, and salt to the pan and mix well.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the spices are fragrant.
  8. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cilantro.
  9. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  10. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece out into a thin circle.
  11. Place the dough circles onto the hot grill and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until they are puffed up and grill marks appear.
  12. Spread a layer of the keema mixture onto each grilled naan.
  13. Serve the keema naan hot. Enjoy!
