Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound ground chicken
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound ground chicken
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, water, and salt to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and set it aside to rest for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ground chicken, onion, cilantro, garam masala, cumin, chili powder, and salt.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal-sized balls. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into a circle about 6 inches in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto one half of the dough circle. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the filling inside.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a teaspoon of oil to the skillet. Place the parantha in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until it is golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining dough and filling. Serve the chicken parathas hot with yogurt or chutney, if desired. Enjoy!
