Chicken Gyro Recipe

Chicken Gyro Recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
4 pita breads
1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl and pour the marinade over top. Use your hands to coat the chicken evenly with the marinade.
  4. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. While the chicken is grilling, prepare the other ingredients. Warm the pita bread in the oven or on the grill, slice the cherry tomatoes and red onion, and set out the tzatziki sauce.
